Hi. Arly and I went to the movies yesterday. About 48 seats in the theater. That's really small. So, we got there early and there was music playing. Like, lame stuff that nobody's ever heard before. One part of one of the songs was "take me straight to heaven" and we just burst out laughing. Because guess what movie we were seeing. That's right. Drag Me To Hell. It was awesome. New favorite movie. I was going to write about it when I came home yesterday, but Arly slept over and she had to do stuff on my computer. Well, anyway, the movie was great. It's about a woman named Christine Brown who's a loan officer. One day, an old woman, Mrs. Ganush, with some kind of eye infection asks for an extension on her home loan. Christine didn't think she could get her the extension, but she went to ask her boss. He said that Mrs. Ganush had already had two extensions. Christine wanted to give Mrs. Ganush a third extension, but she also wanted to impress her boss and get a promotion to assistant manager. So, she denied the extension and Mrs. Ganush lost her home. She put the curse of the Lamia (goat) on Christine. The curse would haunt her for three days, and on the third day she would go to hell. Christine got her forune read by a seer named Rham Jas, and he was trying to help her get rid of the curse. One way to do that was to sacrifice an animal. Christine was a vegetarian and she volunteered at the puppy shelter, so she really didn't want to do that. But she was so desperate to get rid of the curse, she killed her own cat. That day, she was going to her boyfriend, Clay Dalton's parents' house for dinner. She wasn't going to go, but she thought she had gotten rid of the curse. She brought a cake. While Christine was eating a piece of the cake she made, some crumbs at the top started moving around and then she saw an eyeball come out of the cake. She stabbed it with her fork and blood came out. Then, she heard a weird noise that she had been hearing since Mrs. Ganush put the curse on her. She saw a goat's hooves in the crack under a closet door. She freaked out and screamed and Clay's parents' suggested that she should go home. Since sacrificing an animal didn't work, she went back to Rham Jas. There was another way to get rid of the curse, but she had to pay $10,000 for someone named Shaun San Dena to help. She sold a lot of her things, but she only had $3,800. Even though Clay didn't believe in psychics, he payed Shaun San Dena. They went to her house and she was going to transfer the spirit of the lamia into a goat and kill it, which will destroy the Lamia. But that plan backfired when the Lamia assaulted everyone in the room. San Dena banished the Lamia from the seance, but she dies in the process. Christine thought she had gotten rid of the curse, but Rham Jas told her that she didn't and the only way to get rid of the curse now was to give someone else the cursed object, the button that had come off Christine's sleeve when she had been cursed, but whoever she gave it to would burn in hell instead. When Clay was driving her home, she told him that she had gotten rid of the curse. When they got back to her house, she thought she had lost the button in Clay's car so she had to look for it. It was in an envelope and she found it. Later, she was in a diner, trying to figure out who she could give the curse to. She decided to call Stu Rubin, the other person competing to be assistant manager where they worked. She was going to give the curse to Stu because he stole a file off her desk and gave it to another bank. She almost gave him the button, but she decided he didn't deserve it. Christine saw Mrs. Ghanush's obituary in the newspaper and asked Rham Jas if she could give someone the curse if they had died. He said she could. So, Christine went to the cemetery and shoved the envelope down Mrs. Ganush's throat. But it was raining and Christine almost got trapped in Mrs. Ganush's grave. She almost died. but she got out.  The next day, Christine's boss called and said that she would be promoted to assistant manager because Stu told him that he stole the file from Christine's desk.  That day, she was on her way to work and Clay was going to propose to her. But when she saw him, he gave her an envelope and tole her that she must have taken the wrong one. The one she took was probably one of the coins in his coin collection. Christine still had the curse of the Lamia. When she saw the button, she freaked out and fell into the railroad tracks. The ground started cracking and you could see fire under the ground. The train came and ran over her. Hands were pulling her into the ground. Clay tried to help but the train was still passing and running over her. And then the Drag Me To Hell logo came on the screen and it ended.
